Cornflake Wreaths: No-Bake, No-Fuss, No Problem! {Cookie Recipe Exchange}

No Bake No Fuss Cookie Recipe - Chicagoland Moms BlogsI’ll be the first to admit that I’m not the best baker. Whether it’s a boxed mix or homemade recipe with exact measurements and precise instructions… I’m bound to miss a step or measure wrong and come close to failure. I have my mother’s “charcoal touch” when it comes to baking.

Mom, if you’re reading this I know your baking skills were just lack of practice. When you’re always working just to fill the fridge with food, it’s hard to find time to bake. Plus if we’re trying hard to keep the food edible it’s probably best if you didn’t bake when we were growing up. J/K! All jokes aside both my mom and I have become better bakers, but I’m definitely still in the “developing” stage.

So to mix up the baking theme I’m giving you a working mom’s dream recipe. No-bake, no-fuss and limited prep and clean-up time.  Now that’s a gift for the holidays! Spread some holiday cheer with a Corn Flake Wreath.

Below are the instructions to make your own adorable AND edible holiday wreath.

Cornflake Wreath - No Bake No Fuss Cookie Recipe - Chicagoland Moms BlogWhat You Will Need:

  • 6 cups of corn flakes
  • 2 (10 oz.) bags of marshmallows
  • 1 stick of melted butter
  • 1 tsp. of vanilla or almond extract (you can also combine ½ tsp. of each)
  • 1 tsp. of green food coloring
  • 1 bag of spicy Red Hots candy, red cinnamon sprinkles, or basically any red garnish (cinnamon or not)

What You Need To Do:

Melt butter, add marshmallows and cook 2-3 minutes stirring consistently. Once the marshmallows and butter are melted together just add the green food coloring, add the vanilla or almond extracts and dump corn flakes in. Stir until the corn flakes are coated, shape with a Bundt pan if needed and let settle in the fridge. Garnish with candy, and you can even make a cute festive bow using a fruit roll-up if you want to get fancy. Serve and enjoy!
